Managing Risk in the Age of Rising Uncertainty and Complexity: Increasing economic uncertainty, coupled with rising complexity of social interactions and rapid technological change are pushing risk management to the front of corporate and policy-making strategies and agendas. Where as technical aspects of risk management dominated the field development in the past, the future signals radical shift in favour of more intuition and fundamentals based approach to risk modelling and analytics. The key challenge, however, remains the same: transforming data insights into action while matching an ever increasing speed and breadth of analytic capabilities.

Bio

Dr. Constantin Gurdgiev is the Adjunct Assistant Professor of Finance with Trinity College, Dublin, and a co-Founder and Director with a number of financial services start ups. He is also a co-Founder and Director of the Irish Mortgage Holders Organization, Ltd. and the Chairman of Ireland Russia Business Association. Dr. Gurdgiev serves on the advisory board of Heinz AGM (USA) and is an adviser to a number of institutional investors. In the past, Dr. Gurdgiev served as the Head of Research with St Columbanus AG (Switzerland), the Head of Macroeconomics with the Institute for Business Value, IBM, Director of Research with NCB Stockbrokers, Ltd, and Group Editor and Director of Business & Finance Publications.
